BravePoint adds graphical dashboard to Managed DBA Services

BravePoint has announced expanded monitoring functionality for its popular database management service, Managed DBA (MDBA). New features include a web-based dashboard, which gives MDBA customers a detailed view of their database performance in one quick glance.

The new graphical features of this dashboard complement the monitoring tool provided by the MDBA service – a tool that is already rich in functionality. “Companies use BravePoint’s MDBA services for round-the clock surveillance of the key indicators that affect database performance,” he says. “With this new dashboard, they can easily spot- check KPI’s between regularly scheduled MDBA reporting.”

“With MDBA’s new visual dashboard, customers will be able to monitor transaction time, database capacity and the effects that users and applications are having on database performance without having to decipher numerical readings,” says Mike Marriage, Project Manager for Managed DBA.

With Managed DBA, experts in the industry handle everything from performance monitoring to database tuning. Problems are solved immediately so systems can perform at full capacity. If something needs a customer’s attention, the customer is alerted immediately with text message, cell phone or e-mail notification. “Managed DBA’s new monitoring functions give customers a clearer view of how their system is performing while under the full-time support of a skilled and experienced Progress-based team,” Marriage says.
