Kauffman Tire Announces New B2B Version of Existing Customer Site BravePoint, e-Business Expert, Integrates WebSpeed" Solution With Existing Progress"-Based Applications

Kauffman Tire and BravePoint, a leading provider of e-business and enterprise solutions, today announced the launch of Kauffman's new B2B site, creating a state-of-the-art Internet presence that's fully integrated with their existing Progress"-based system. Building on a long-standing relationship, the two Atlanta-based companies collaborated to create a diversified and flexible business-to-business site that functions as much more than an ordering tool.

"The beauty of it is that it's integrated to our database so that any change we make there is reflected immediately and automatically on the website," said Richard Aldredge, Vice President of Information Systems for Kauffman. "At any given moment, our customers have access to real-time quantity information and pricing structure."

This solution gives Kauffman's wholesale dealers the flexibility of ordering through the website. But beyond these ordering capabilities, this system is robust enough to expand their customers' knowledge base by providing more in-depth information about their product lines, including specifications and photos on all models, availability by market, and a clear presentation of their detailed pricing structure. In this way, the B2B site is a powerful marketing tool as well.
