Success Story -
VCG

An Excellent
Performance Review for VCG's EStaffing
Solution
Hundreds
of job listings. Thousands of resumes.
Screenings. Interviews. Multiple callbacks.
A scheduling nightmare? Not if you're
a recruiter with VCG's WebPAS, the most
technically advanced software product
in the staffing industry. Thanks to
BravePoint, WebPAS enables staffing
companies to harness the power of the
Internet for their recruiting solutions.
"The team from BravePoint
was customerfocused and treated the
launch of our product as if it were
their own," said Dennis Templin, VCG's
vice president of development.
A Job Well Done
When VCG assessed that the
Internet served increasingly as the
avenue of growth for the staffing industry,
it knew it had a job to do. Its original
product, CPAS, was based on Lotus technology.
In order to provide a webbased product,
VCG needed to develop an application
with a relational database. Therefore,
VCG evaluated application server providers,
selected Silverstream and then chose
BravePoint for its Java expertise in
order to help meet an aggressive product
release deadline.
VCG's new product, WebPAS,
the Web Placement Automation System,
migrates core database features such
as client, candidate and resume tracking
to the Web. WebPAS enables recruiters
to coordinate all activities in the
interview process, receive status updates,
and stay on top of hot jobs, candidates
and companies, all from any remote location.
What's more, a thin client extranet
component called WorldLink allows candidates,
clients and employees to interact directly
with the system.
BravePoint provided VCG
with training, general consulting, development,
and architectural consulting for the
revolutionary WebPAS product. What's
more, BravePoint helped create a WebPAS
prototype with key functionality that
proved critical for product sales by
demonstrating the product's features;
instilling prospect confidence in the
technology solution, and leapfrogging
competitors to market. Now, that's a
reference worth checking.
